Tonight we had a family home evening lesson on the things that Heavenly Father created for us. It was a great lesson and Hannah was so cute about it, she is just so smart. I decided that this would be a great lesson for tonight since Daddy took Hannah on her first hike this afternoon. I thought we could talk about all of the things that she saw on her hike that Heavenly Father has created for us. The lesson was great, and then afterward for our activity, we went outside and painted a picture of the world around us. Once we were finished with our activity we brought Hannah in the house for a bath. As she got undressed for bath, I noticed something black on her leg. Sure enough, she had a tick in her leg. GROSS!!! I immediately called Chad upstairs to take a look at it, and Hannah started freaking out about having a bug in her leg. After we got it out, she said, "Mom, I know that Heavenly Father created that bug that was in my leg, but I think her knows that he made a bad choice when he decided to go into my leg." I had a hard time not laughing at that one. She was being so pathetic, I had to get some of it on video. This is definitely after she calmed down quite a bit!

Women's Conference

This last weekend I had the opportunity to go to Women's Conference at BYU. It was fabulous. I's always amazing to me that I never realize how out of shape I am spiritually until I go to something like that. It totally fires me up. I was grateful to be able to spend a couple of days with my mother-in-law Vicki. We always have a wonderful time together. She is such an example to me. Just being around her makes me want to be a better person. I am also grateful that Chad stayed home with Hannah for two days. He is such a wonderful father, and she loves being with him. And I couldn't have gone without my very favorite sub Chris for taking my class for two days. She is wonderful with them and I appreciate all she does.

Crayon Drawings
Tonight I was getting Hannah ready for bed and she started asking me about her mole on her ankle. She asked me where it came from and why she has it? I told her that it was just something that Heavenly Father gave to her, and it was a beauty mark. Her next question made me crack up. She said, "So mom, was he just doing some crayon drawings or something?"What a thinker. How does she come up with these things?

Hogle Zoo
Friday we went to the Hogle Zoo on a field trip with my class. Chad, Vicki and Hannah met us down there and we had a great time. Hannah loved all the animals, and Chad loved sharing with her his vast knowledge of all the animals that he loves.
Visit with Coombs
The last couple of weeks have been a lot of fun. On Tuesday of Spring Break, Grammy, Papa, Kelly and Andrew came to visit us from California. After a week of visiting, Papa, Kelly and Andrew left to go home and Grammy stayed for another couple of weeks. We have had nothing but fun the entire time. We have gone out to dinner (too much), gone skating, had a campfire up in the canyon for Family Night, visited Thanksgiving Point, and just had fun visiting and letting Grammy spoil Hannah.Hannah loves Uncle Andrew. She didn't want anything to do with any of us when he was around. It was fun to watch them together. He was so patient with her and even played princess barbie's and poly-pockets with her.

Happy Easter
I know this is a little late, but better late than never right. We have had a really fun week the last week with Easter and Spring Break. The time went by way too fast, and although I love my job, I am looking forward to the summer break. Here are a few pictures of Easter with Hannah. It was definately a lot of fun, now that she is a little older and is starting to get it!

You might be a teacher if...
So I have seen this before, but I just got it off my friend Beth's blog. If you are a teacher, if you know a teacher, or if you have kids and have ever been in the classroom, you will enjoy this.
The sick continues...
So it has been close to a week since Hannah got sick. We went to the doctor on Tuesday, and he said that she just has the flu. I say just, but I mean she has the worst case of the flu that I have ever seen. What that means is there is not anything we can do for her except make sure that she stays hydrated. She also has an ear infection. We are lucky there is something we can do for that, if only she would stop throwing up long enough to get some medicine in her.

My poor little girl
On Saturday night Hannah got sick all of a sudden. She was totally fine, playing with her friend Maylee and then on our way home she started throwing up. I was totally shocked. Well she just kept getting worse and worse throughout the night and the next day. On Sunday during conference all she did was lay on my lap and sleep. She was anything but my full of life little girl that bounces off the walls. Starting about 7:00 she started throwing up blood and so of course we took her straight to the ER. It was there that she had her first experience with needles and the dreaded IV. They pumped her full of fluid and then sent us on our way. This morning I reluctantly left for work only to have Chad call me around 12:00. He felt like we needed to take her back to the ER. We again were on our way. As soon as we got there, she started screaming "No, not this place" I felt so bad for her. It was a totally miserable experience for all of us. Today they ended up sending us home again, with some anti-nausea medicine and they left the IV in her arm. This is just a precaution so that if they need to rehydrate her tomorrow, they don't have to stick her again. She has been so brave throughout everything. She is so amazing and so strong.
She is going to hate me for putting taking these pictures when she gets older

An update
I know it has been a really long time since I have posted anything. Not only have I been extremely busy, but my computer crashed last week. This is my school computer, which I use all the time. In fact, we have never even set up our home computer since living here, because I just do everything on the laptop. Needless to say, I am really stressed out to see if the school tech is going to be able to recover anything off of my harddrive. Please pray for me that I don't loose EVERYTHING!! By everything, I mean the last two years of lesson plans, newsletters, parent letters, curriculum, and pictures. That is both school pictures and personal pictures AHHHHHH! I can't even think about it anymore. Well,. I will try to post more regularly and update on my disaster status as well as tell you what is new with our family!
