Kangaroo Zoo

Last night we decided to take Hannah and her cousin Garrett to Kangaroo Zoo. We all had a great time. Pictures could not tell of how fun it was so I decided to highlight the best parts on video and post that instead.

Hannah's Happy Hunting

We had such a fun Easter, and Hannah really enjoyed looking for the eggs that the Easter Bunny left for us. Grammy, this video is for you. We were sad that you couldn't be here.

Disney Princess on Ice

We took Hannah on Friday night to see the Disney Princess on Ice Show in Salt Lake. She absolutely loved it. It was worth every penny just to watch her. When Mickey and Minnie Mouse came out on the ice for the first time, she just looked up at me and said, "Mama, Mickey's talking to me!" From that point on she was mesmorized.

What a Sweet Girl I am

I know this is turning into the Blog of Hannah, but hey she really is the most important thing in my life. Anyway, I finally got to pick up Hannah's Birthday Pictures this weekend, and I was so pleased with how they turned out. She just looks so sweet to me. I can't believe how grown up she is getting.

Big Girl Bed

For Hannah's Birthday we decided to move her into a big girl bed. She has been doing really well and staying in her bed (most of the time). I was super ambitious and decided to make her bedding which had to be Little Mermaid (of course)! She loves it and talks about how beautiful it is. I just finally downloaded these pictures so I thought I would share.

Good Day

The following is a list of 5 reasons yesterday was a really good day!
1. It finally felt like spring, and it was warm enough to wear short sleeves on my walk with Becky!
2. It was light outside until about 8:00 and I had time to take Hannah to play at the park after work. Hannah had so much fun and is getting to be a little dare devil out there.
3. It was early out day and all of the kids left at 2:30. (Thank goodness for early out, especially yesterday)
4. For Family Night we decorated cookies and played Barrell of Monkeys with Hannah. It was a lot of fun and I appreciated laughing with my family.
5. Hannah said her first prayer last night for dinner and it was so cute. I started to get a little teary eyed while she was praying and when she was finished, she looked up at me and said, "Mama, you not happy?" I quickly assured her that yes, I was very happy. She is such a sweet little girl and I am grateful for her.

We had another birthday party for Hannah this afternoon. This child is going to think that we are going to do this every weekend. Today was a party for all of her little friends. It ended up really being all of our friends and their kids. It was nice to get together with old friends from home and to see how everyone is doing. It is a shame that we don't get together more often.

New Garbs

Grandma Great gave Hannah a twirly slip for her birthday (every girls prized possession). We thought it would be fun to dress her up in her slip, cowboy boots and sunglasses to remind Chad of old times with Kelly. I can't wait until she asks to wear this outfit out to the grocery store!

Ugly Mermaid

Hannah really wanted a Little Mermaid birthday cake. Since I have never made a decorated cake before, I was a little bit nervous. I very quickly discovered that that the eyes were going to give me a ton of trouble. I ended up having to pull the frosting off of the eyes two different times. During one of these times, Hannah came in to check on my progress. She saw the two black gaping holes instead of eyes and said, "Mom, she's ugly!" She then went to play with her dad. She came back a little while later and passed by the cake saying, "Ugly Mermaid" kind of under her breath. I then lifted her up to show her that she had been fixed and she wasn't ugly anymore. When she saw the mermaid for the second time she said, "She's not ugly, she's beautiful!" I was really glad to learn that I am able to please a two year old (even if it's not at my first attempt!)

Family Fun

I love this picture so much because we all look so happy. Thanks to Stuart for scaring us all and making us laugh!

Keeping in Touch

Well, I finally decided to get on the bandwagon and become a blogger. So many people have tried to convince me that it is the best way to stay in touch with family and friends. This is my first attempt, so please be patient with me.
